How can you tell if you have resistance?
At its core, resistance is only energy vibrating in the form of negative thoughts that trigger corresponding negative emotions. As simple as that explanation may be, overcoming the problems it can cause is a little more complex.
We all know now that Law of Attraction teaches that the thoughts you think, act as a broadcast "signal" that tells the universe what you would like to experience - even if you are focusing on things that you would definitely NOT like to experience!
When you focus on something repetitively, you start attracting more of its essence back into your life - whether that thing is of a positive or negative nature.
That's where techniques like visualization, meditation, affirmations and the like are very useful. With regular use, they help you to stop focusing on the negative stuff and spend more time focusing on the positive stuff - which helps you attract more of that positive stuff.
But some people experience limited results from their efforts, and can't figure out why.
In there vibrational condition of resistance they may see little bits of improvement here and there, but can't quite reach the level of success they really desire, whether that success is related to their career, finances, relationships, physical well-being, or other subjects.
What is Resistance?
As I mentioned, resistance is caused by negative thoughts, which triggers negative emotions. The reason this affects your results so powerfully is because the Law of Attraction can only deliver situations and experiences that match your dominant focus.
If you have a lot of resistance clogging up your vibrational "signal", you are essentially telling the universe, "Please send me more of this annoyance" such as- despair, or anger, or frustration, or sadness - whatever you are actively focused upon feeling.
How can you tell if you have resistance?
The great thing about resistance is that it's usually pretty obvious- it makes you feel "not good"! But there are definite levels of feeling not good". Sometimes you might feel just a wee bit "off", like you're just not yourself, while other times you might be unbearably stressed, unhappy or overwhelmed. These are all shades of resistance, in one form or another.
Another sign of resistance is that nothing outside of you seems to go right. Despite doing your best to focus on the great things you want to attract, there is very little movement and progress to be seen.
Even if you occasionally see results, you will still keep bouncing back to an invisible "set point" on certain subjects, like money, relationships, your health, and so on. If you have been consistently working on any of these areas but can't seem to get anywhere, the cause is likely resistance.
So, how can you release this resistance and finally make better progress?
The truth is, resistance is a normal part of life. Not one of us is immune to it. We all have it to some degree. What if I told you that there were many easy, fast, efficient ways to dissolve the resistance that is blocking your goodness from arriving? Would you be willing to learn how to empower your own process for change?
It's true! Once you learn to recognize the feeling of resistance, and once you know how to release it, you will be spending more and more of your time focused purely on those satisfying life experiences you wish to attract, and they can manifest much more quickly and easily!
There is no overnight fix and there is a bit of effort required, but you'll find that it doesn’t have to be hard! There are lots of easy and effect way's to deactivate your resistance.
Try this releasing technique now:
Abraham-Hick's - Placemat Process
It serves best when you are feeling - overwhelmed, impatient, or frustrated
So what’s the placemat process? It's based on the idea that we can only do so much and still be effective, and that we don’t really have to do all of it. There’s a force out there greater than us that helps us out.
Have you ever noticed that some things you just didn’t get too seemed to take care of themselves in miraculous ways? Or they didn’t seem all that important anymore? Or you got a chance to do them much later and it was okay? Those are all signs that something greater than us is helping us and guiding our subconscious. The main thing is that we must stop stressing and release resistance. And the placemat process helps with that.
Here are the instructions:
Get a big piece of paper (placemat size works well):
Draw a line down the middle.
Write a reasonable number of items that you MUST get done today on the left side. Title that section: Things I will do today.
Write everything else that you think you ought to get done etc. on the other side. Title that section: Things I’m turning over to the universe.
And then just do the things on your list.
Also keep track of how many of the Universe’s list will get done. You may be surprised.

"I AM Loved "
Affirmations are positive statements that help focus your awareness on your power and ability to create what you want. They are stated in the present tense, such as "I have unlimited prosperity." Your thoughts and the feelings behind them create your reality, and as you say positive statements to yourself, you can begin to create them as true.
Affirmations are designed to open and expand your awareness of what you can have, to align you with your spirits wisdom, and to assist you in attuning with the unlimited prosperity of the universe. Most affirmations start with "I". You use "I" to refer to all of who you are: your Broader Self, also called your Higher Self, your Spirit, your Divine Self, your Source Self the part of you that is connected to the Universe, as well as the ego and personality self. As you think or say affirmations, you are calling upon the Spirit within you to be present and express itself opening the doorway to experience a new, more pleasing reality.
Saying "I AM"
Too often I hear people say "I am....." and follow it with a negative or limited statement. It is important to catch yourself if you find yourself doing this, and change what you say about yourself and your life to reflect a more positive reality. Every time you say "I am" you are evoking the Divine Self within you, calling upon the power of the universe to make it so. If you can follow the statement "I am..." with positive thoughts you are invoking the power of the universe, the Positive Source within you to assist you in creating this as your reality.
As you say affirmations, feel the reality and power of the "I" within you to create the reality you want. The words themselves do not have power; repeating them routinely over and over will not create the reality you want. It is the energy of your Source Connection you are calling upon when you say these affirmations that has the power to make these thoughts a reality.
Affirmations are best employed when you are feeling content, hopeful and optimistic as these feelings reflect your connection to Source. Imagine feeling the power, love, and wisdom of the innermost part of your being, your Source Connection as you say each affirmation. Use affirmations as a way to open the doorway to all the riches and gifts of consciousness your true, innermost Self is waiting to give you. All you need to do is ask, affirm, and be open to receive. Let go of the specific form, way, and timing of what you have asked for, and know that through the Law Of Attraction your - Source Energy will bring to you exactly what you need at the perfect time and in the perfect way.

With my coaching clients we have been exploring the belief that everything IS energy in form, we are all one, all connected, and there is no doubt that each of us reflects something in another. We all have various vibrational set points that aligns with everything in the same frequency. Like attracts like so to speak. We cannot be separate, we cannot be apart, we can only demonstrate what is. And the Universe acts as a huge reflector of that reality.
At first my clients are resistant to the idea, and as we demonstrate how it is work's in their life they relax and begin to use the process to benefit there lives in a more pleasing way.
What happens when you look at your reflection in the privacy of your bathroom mirror? Do you see all beauty of your physical being or do you find fault with aspects of your face and body? If you look deeply into your own eyes, is there a sense of peace or discomfort? If you focus on one feature do you find it interesting or disappointing?
When you have a positive experience looking at yourself do you feel pleased and own that for yourself, or do you believe it is just an excellent mirror? And when you find aspects that do not please you, do you then consider how to accept them or improve them, or do you blame the mirror for being a poor reflector? I know whenever I am out shopping and try clothes on in the dressing room and think I look over weight, I blame the mirror for being hung wrong!
Now sit with the possibility that all of life, every person and animal you meet, every situation in which you find yourself in also offers you a mirror to see your own reflection on an inner level - a reflection beyond your physical presence. The reflection of your innermost emotional life, your spirits longings, your deepest beliefs and patterns of being and your conscious and unconscious thoughts. How would you see that reflection? Would you be able to see it as a gift, an opportunity to know yourself better? Would you be able to honor the parts of you that you find appealing and seek to transform those that do not serve you?
Or would you instead compliment or blame the mirror?
When you meet someone who challenges you emotionally through their behavior or words, whose actions perhaps cause you to reflect on your feelings be it anger, sadness, discouragement, rejection, or joy, then you are being given a look into that mirror. Perhaps a part of you is present in that person that you are seeing. Or perhaps the person you have attracted to you is here to show you the feelings about yourself and your life that you still need to understand or release in order to live more abundantly. You can only see what is already there within your own self, already operating or not, but nonetheless present on some level.
When someone upsets you because you perceive that they are not being kind to you, what part of you has also behaved unkindly to another? If a friend annoys you with trivial habits, where is the judge in you that trivializes your own life? Do you stay open to the possibility that the casual stranger who genuinely smiles at you and makes your morning more blessed is also the part of you that can bring the gift of simple love to another?
Try this Mirror exercise today:
Write down the name of a person, and what role they play in relationship with you.
Write out exactly how you perceive them and how your perceptions make you feel.

Hi Everyone,
Self Acceptance is being loving and happy with who you are NOW and a reflection of your Source Connection. Some call it self-esteem, unconditional love, others self-love, but whatever you call it, you'll know when your accepting yourself because it feels wonderful. Its an agreement with yourself to appreciate, validate, accept and support who you are at this very moment, even those parts you'd like to eventually change. This is important... even those parts you'd eventually like to change.

Schedule Update
As most of you know I live in Cave Creek AZ and we were in a weather state of emergency for the past few days. One of the ways the rain and wind has impacted me is that I do not have consistent Internet connectivity. With out this connection I cannot record or moderate the class. So, we will start next Tuesday February 2nd, 2010, my Internet guy assured me he should have our kinks worked out by then.
The local event took place a few weeks ago and was a great success! Everyone released resistance, had life changing epiphanies, wrote their new living vision and more! You will hear more from some of those folk's later this week!
Okay - let's get started on your process!
Below is your preparation focusing assignment #1.
This is an important piece in beginning to shift your energy and in making yourself a priority. Your resistance to the exercise will help you understand your attitude toward your change coming into the class. Email me with any questions.
Schedule a half hour appointment with yourself to be some place quiet with no interruptions. You will need a single piece of paper and a writing instrument. On the single piece of paper (not one in your journal if it is hard bound), on both sides if need be, write about the area you wish to feel more satisfied in. Journal in detail about how it is right now, how do YOU FEEL today. On a scale of 1-10, ten being the most satisfaction right now what would you rate it? Your writing may go like some of the examples below, but not limited to. Let it all flow ... no one but you will see this entry!!!!
Once you have written all the details about what your feeling - put the sheet of paper away where no one else can see it. Do not reread, add to or subtract anything from the writing. Just tuck it away and move onto a better feeling focus!
You will receive an email from me in a few days that will provide you with your next step!

Writing Examples:
Example 1. Weight Dissatisfaction
On a scale of 1-10 I feel my physical health is a 1. I feel over weight, uncomfortable, discouraged and lazy. I always intend to start walking just a few minutes a day and when it's time to walk I cannot get motivated, and then feel bad for letting myself down again. I need new clothes and hate to go clothes shopping because trying on clothes makes me feel bad or I don't want to spend the money on new clothes if I am going to loose the weight any way. I noticed I eat when I feel bad and then I feel worse for eating. I am confused about emotional eating .... how is it I am expected to solve a weight problem that has been in my family for generations, I am so angry ....
Example 2. Relationship Dissatisfaction
On a scale of 1-10 I feel my relationship with my husband, child, mother etc. is a 3. I feel frustrated, used and not listened to. I often pull away my attention and affection as a way to punish and send my beloved a message of my dissatisfaction to only feel isolated and alone. All my efforts to change this person end up in failure and more hurt feelings. I am controlling. I am not lovable. I find myself in a cycle of blame and feeling as though " if they were just different I would feel better" .... I am confused about what it means when everyone says " the change begins with me" ....
Example 3. Money Dissatisfaction
On a scale of 1-10 my money satisfaction is a 2. I feel limited by the amount of money I can make from my job. I feel frustrated, even though I am doing a good job my company was unable to give pay raises this year. I did get a bonus but that was gone paying for credit card debt I accumulated last year when things were really tight for my family. I am nervous about loosing my job. My company is talking about lay offs if things don't change in this first quarter of 2010 .... I am over whelmed, confused ... I am uncertain about the future and afraid ...

Hopefully by now you have taken the time to write about how you are feeling on a scale of 1-10 in regards to your area of dissatisfaction? If not, please do so before you move on to assignment number #2. If you need a resend of assignment #1 let me know?
To transform any excuse it takes awareness of what you really believe. An excuse is an energy force that you have built a whole reality around. By now there is much validity to your experience keeping the energy alive and well! Most likely you have been explaining or complaining about this area of your life for a long time? Putting the Mind on paper is a great way to become aware of the energy holding your experience in place and is a step that opens a whole universe of possibilities!
So what is next?
Schedule a half hour appointment with yourself to be some place quiet with no interruptions. Be sure to have your writing assignment with you and the note book or journal you will have with you on Saturday. Reread your thoughts and look for a pattern of thinking. See if you can identify your excuse? Make note of this pattern in your Journal for Saturdays work.
Now set aside your piece of paper. In the journal or note book you have for Saturday write a new entry regarding how Satisfied You are with this area of your life. Putting the Mind to paper is a great way to create a New Energy force in your life as well. Tell the story of how good this area of your life feels now!! Use as many " feeling" words as possible to create the opposite experience of your initial writing. Once this is done dispose of your single sheet of paper. Dissipate the old energy - rip it up, burn it or flush it down the toilet! Declare your - Excuses Be Gone!
Remember to bring this journal or notebook with you on Saturday!! We will start at 10AM sharp so plan to be early!

First, let me say - CONGRATULATIONS to all of you that have decided - No More Excuses for not feeling Satisfied in some important area of your life!

Please note the teleclass will now begin on Tuesday January 26th - 8PM EST, 6PM MST, 7PM PT and run for the next three Tuesday's. Once you are signed up I will send you the call-in information and work sheet download.
The local Phoenix event will gather this coming Saturday 16th @ 10AM.

Door will be open!!
We will start right at 10AM so please plan to arrive 5 or 10 minutes early. If you are planning to come and have not confirmed that with me please do so as I have only a few spots left.
